You are all 9 types
Even though you have a dominant type, we visit all the types as parts of ourselves and certainly through relating to other people and their types.
The more comfortable you are with the qualities of each type, your relationships will improve and you will have compassion for the difficult aspects of each type. Make a conscious effort to develop the higher traits of each type, as a way to balance your type.
If you need to develop your "8ness" pretend you are an 8 and be more direct, act on your body instinct more. Trust yourself. If you want to have more of a positive focus like a 7, change your thoughts toward what is good now and what you want in the future.
On the deepest level, our true self is beyond type. We each take on a type because it feels more comfortable and familiar, but practice being each of the types. Don't demand that the world should go along with your type preferences.
Practice being the honesty and high quality and improvement of the 1s, the attunement to others' needs like a 2, the goal and success focus of a 3, the creativity and emotional awareness of the 4, the objectivity and depth of information like a 5, the preparedness and back up plans and conscious cautiousness of a 6, and the inclusiveness, peace creation and acceptance of a 9.
Notice when you are too stuck within your own type and branch out! Herb Pearce
